About Me

contact hero

I’m Roxana, an Integrative Humanistic Psychologist, Nicaraguan-American, based in the Netherlands.

For more than seven years, I worked with adolescents facing complex emotional challenges and trauma in the courts of Managua—an experience that deeply shaped my professional path and transformed the way I understand human suffering.

Since then, I’ve dedicated my work to integrating approaches that see the human being as a whole—body, mind, emotion, and spirit.
My practice is grounded in the belief that every person holds an innate capacity to heal, transform, and reconnect with their authenticity when offered a safe, compassionate, and present space.

My therapeutic approach weaves together Humanistic Psychology, Art Therapy, Body Awareness, Therapeutic Yoga, and the principles of Compassionate Inquiry®.

I am currently in training with Dr. Gabor Maté and have accumulated supervised practice hours, which allows me to integrate this approach ethically and mindfully.

I believe therapy is not about “fixing” anyone, but about accompanying each person on their journey back to themselves, honoring their rhythm, their story, and their inner wisdom.

My Approach & What I Offer

I offer Integrative and Humanistic Psychological Support—a space where deep listening, presence, and creativity become paths toward self-discovery and transformation.

My sessions are for those who wish to:
• Explore and understand their emotions with calmness and compassion.

• Release inner blocks and repetitive patterns.
• Reconnect with the body and intuition.
• Cultivate authenticity, clarity, and self-compassion.

I integrate tools from Art Therapy, Yoga, Body Awareness, and Compassionate Inquiry, tailoring each process to the individual needs and rhythm of the person.

No artistic experience is required—the focus is not on form, but on presence, expression, and authenticity.
My commitment is to offer an ethical, safe, and human space, where you can feel truly accompanied in your process—with respect, sensitivity, and trust.

Who Is This For

My integrative and humanistic approach is designed for people who are seeking understanding, healing, and transformation through a compassionate and body-centered process.

For those on a path of self-discovery or life transition

  • Individuals who wish to reconnect with themselves, their body, or their sense of purpose.
  • Those experiencing disconnection, emptiness, or a loss of direction.
  • People navigating life changes such as grief, motherhood, migration, separation, or career transitions.

For those healing emotional wounds or trauma

  • People who have experienced trauma and are looking for a gentle, body-based approach to healing.
  • Those who understand their story intellectually but struggle to feel or integrate it emotionally.
  • Individuals who feel stuck, easily triggered, or find it hard to trust or connect with others.

For those with psychological symptoms or previous diagnoses

  • People who have tried conventional therapy but feel it hasn’t gone deep enough, or who need a more holistic and embodied approach.
  • Individuals living with anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress, psychosomatic symptoms, eating disorders, or dissociation, who are seeking support that includes both mind and body awareness.
  • Highly sensitive individuals (HSPs), or those who tend toward perfectionism, overcontrol, or self-demand.

For creative and sensitive souls

  • Those who feel drawn to art, movement, or creativity as natural ways to heal and express themselves.
  • People who seek a more experiential process—one that moves beyond words and integrates emotional, sensory, and intuitive dimensions.

Ultimately

  • This work is for anyone who longs to be seen, heard, and accompanied without judgment—within a safe, compassionate, and authentic therapeutic space where healing can unfold naturally.
